- On homepage, show sub-questions under the main question. For a user like me, posting a sub-question helps clarify thinking and now on homepage, each question comes up on a separate line. But for a reader, sub-questions can be not clear or seem duplicate, if they dont see hierarchy straight away (on homepage).

I like how L. Margulis talks about symbiosis as living together of organisms from different species for a prolonged period of time.
So, how does symbiosis happen? How can this be applied in a human world (society)?
How could helpfulness spread in society?
I added sub-questions also on the worlds of bacterias.

159 dweeks 3 days ago @ Completed Internet Percentage
Like a progress bar for searchable index of the web and intelligence?
Knowledge horizon expands as we investigate it. For some datasets its easy to: for example, get a list of all world's cars registered, or all world's human individuals registered. For others, it's not - get a list of all bottles ever produced? All instances of coherent thought? Google had set out to index all world's information -- it may be they have this percentage completed index internally. It would be good to have it public, like is the Internet Archive?

- Clicking on a username within comments should open a Telegram of that user, so that I can message them privately and ask to clarify a comment.
Now, I click on a username and end up on their profile page, I click on "Start chatting" and end up here https://io.0oo.li/direct/username, so I send a message, but a user is not online, while a user may be online on Telegram, which would spark a clarification of a comment straight away

[Ruta], got it :) Will add that into work queue. ^__^ Makes a lot of sense. 7HUR = 70 USD -- yes, almost. The exchange rates are computed hourly, at /rate.

Last feature request:
- showing the latest comments within a project page on top, not bottom. because each project page becomes a very long page to scroll even with a few comments, which creates a waiting time for a user who wants to read the latest and comment

One more feature request or clarification:
- when a user declares hours, why balance shows those hours as dollars too? like 7HUR = 70 USD? I'd rather declare only hours or euros of my choice then which would be more accurate.

159 dweeks 7 days ago @ The unfair database
Wow, that is so cool! This is idea has in it more than meets the eye. Addressing the unfairness requires seeing it in the first place, and could lead to changes. Something like a stackoverflow for issues of unfairness?
159 dweeks 9 days ago @ MUTANTU
From the "Sneak peak", and the gist "for people who don't read," it seems like it's going to be a set of illustrative works to capture the coexistence, where others see not. If it's got to be funny, look for a comedian, or perhaps, a magician comedian as an advisor -- they've got to deal with both systems, and see humor. One interesting comedian I've recently watched and who falls under this category (combining humor with magic), is the Hannibal. :)

If we want it to be part of backend processing, such as a corporations backend processing or whenever they happen to require the data, they will need to be a server side component. Or an intermediary.
The intermediary would have a connection over VPN or zerotier, a link to the user's device where the data can be requested.
The intermediary can be authenticated via OAuth.
159 dweeks 9 days ago @ Data hub
I'm thinking of some thing very simple.
We register a data handler in browser/mobile phone for datahub:/ url links
The URL must contain what's requested
datahub:firstname,lastname,email,dob,http://returnaddress
Then the return address gets pinged with the data from the datahub.

Now I wonder, what help/feedback I need for my project?
-
Advisor who is a comic book author and a creator of anecdotes
-
Advisor who can help decompose Systems Thinking and define which concepts from Living Systems are the most important for beginners

Right, but how would such API be designed. For example, Solid by Tim Berners' Lee et. al. are trying to achieve something like that. Alternative P2P approaches, like GunJS are trying to realize something of a browser LocalStorage-based decentralized database, where, however, privacy can be achieved through encryption provided within the stack. Another approach is the OAuth2.0, that already realizes the universal permissioning on all kind of APIs within a machine or a network, by providing a way to generate permission tokens. It solves the complicated matters of a multitude of resources that any internet user may have.
So, being that people already use this idea, how would this idea contribute to the solution of the privacy problem? How would this "Data hub" actually function?
160 dweeks 4 days ago @ Data Attestations
It was more for personal information used for business purposes such as buying some thing online, my title, full name, address and bank details.
160 dweeks 5 days ago @ Data Attestations
So, even if data is public, and provided with the intent to be public, its reuse in other places would be a matter of attestation? Isn't that how the creative commons works already, except, you mean, they don't have a machine-readable format, or, the current ways of specifying it are not sufficiently convenient and granular?
Would "Wikipedias" write themselves automatically, as self-summarizing web services, if all online data were covered by "attestations"? Perhaps it could be implemented by a microformat of some sort, or markup, providing infinitely granular reuse specifications, a bit like notesplit markup does with sharing specifications.

This game could simulate buying equipment from Amazon, Alibaba, etc., to have that equipment pop into the game as virtual objects that can operate on virtual matter, that way teaching kids, how one things can be converted to others, using tools: so that they are more likely to buy those tools when they grow up.
It could even help companies sell things, as this buyers could prototype their set ups in virtual world before buying.

Yeah, but that's already outside of the scope of the idea. To discuss that, it would merit creating a question, like "Privacy and Safety in Public Spaces," and discuss it there.
Perhaps, we could have masks with LED screens, and voice recognition, like gethushme.com, where you whisper, and the mask speaks for you :) Or, you could program something to say in advance.

“Are there more form or classes of boredom?”——
There is: when the environment remains the same.
So we don’t like 'brave new world', because it’s so boring.
So we are going to mars :)
161 dweeks 5 dhours ago @ 对电梯摄像头要说的话
Is the ubiquitous CCTV installed in public areas with public consent? Who is collecting the data? Where did the collected data go? Who can use this data? The answers to these questions should be made public by the organization that installed the CCTV, or they should be publicly consulted for everyone’s consent before installation.

161 dweeks 1 days ago @ Boredom
Well, what is boredom? Perhaps there are different kinds of boredom:
Environmental scarcity:
- When there's nothing meaningful else to do.
Reward temporal irregularity:
- When waiting for the fun part is too long, and there's nothing fun to do in the meantime.
Environmental complexity :
- When actions are futile, many things tried, nothing worked yet.
- When there's just too many choices, none sufficiently fun or engaging, and you're in the search of the next big thing?
Are there more form or classes of boredom?
161 dweeks 3 days ago @ 对电梯摄像头要说的话
Well, let's think: where does the data collected in the elevators go? What data processing does go through? That can indicate, what kind of effects one can expect to achieve through data inputs there.

It would be quite boring to specialize in such a narrow domain, wouldn't it? So, how would the specialist treat themselves? Not being specialist is the option I see.

I think education as a way of moderating population growth is sinister.
People are holding back having families due to their careers which are all or nothing jobs. That's not a future I like.
162 dweeks 2 days ago @ Cookie cutter society
Personally I think education and country development is the key to overpopulation problem.
-> https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2015/07/how-education-can-moderate-population-growth/
And I think we should have more ideas how to educate people faster.
162 dweeks 2 days ago @ Cookie cutter society
I was thinking of freight trains between towns.
You have one town that specialises in making one kind of thing, or one element of the supply chain.
Then you have the next town along manufacture the next part or assemble what the previous town created.
Are there many manufacturing hubs not in China?
162 dweeks 2 days ago @ Cookie cutter society
Usually manufacturing hubs are co-located for a reason: the simplification of supply chain. Now, if you make people not move, the things gotta move instead, and you're tasked with improving their logistics.
Perhaps some type of fast conveyor tubes transporting parts of equipment between cities could do it. It would be interesting to do some economic modelling on that.
162 dweeks 2 days ago @ Oximergency, Co.
I think the first step, is to verify, how reliably and battery-energy cheaply it would be possible to collect oximeter data from various smart watches that support this feature, starting with the one I already have, so will be trying that some time soon.
Regarding the emergency event handling side, I think, multiple cloud-based approaches could be used. I find the idea of combining taxi services with ambulance services to cut the help arrival time in half, interesting, but that would be another idea for a micro-service.

The advances in decentralization and clear 0oo database model, makes me think that we could decentralize this system, but it has to be a new effort of its own.

So, how do you think of getting that done? A letter to the organizers? How is election process is formally defined? Does it need to be in the constitution?
162 dweeks 4 days ago @ Pendulum Transport
Frankly, this just needs to contact potential contractors, and get the estimates for free, then get someone to pay for construction. Sometimes simply reaching out as a potential customer is half way to realization.
